New Episodes In 2003, Spike TV brought back The Ren & Stimpy Show as the "Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon." This show was aimed at an older audience than the original show had been. It was around this time that video games based on the show started getting released for various consoles. With Kricfalusi gone, the new writer/director for the show was Bob Camp, and the animation duties were moved from Spumco to Games Animation. In fact, the episode was banned until Spike TV began airing Adult Party Cartoon in 2003. One example of overt violence was the episode "Man's Best Friend" where Ren beats up the character George Liquor with an Oar. In 1992, Kricfalusi was fired due to the overuse of violence, gross-out humor and the general undisciplined methods & schedules Spumco used to create each episode. Created by the Canadian animator John Kricfalusi and animated by his Spumco studio, the show became a huge success. Original Run The Ren & Stimpy Show premiered on August 11th, 1991 on Nickelodeon.
